KATHMANDU, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's 33-party alliance led by the CPN-Maoist which boycotted Nov. 19 election has warned street protest against the mainstream parties and Constituent Assembly ( CA) election, the alliance said on Sunday.

The alliance said that an all-party conference should be organized to forge consensus among political parties of the country.

"A roundtable conference of all political parties should be called and all the issues including contentious issues of new constitution should be settled from there," a statement issued by the alliance reads.

The alliance said that they are preparing to hit the street as big parties are turning a deaf ear to its demand.

The alliance boycotted the Nov. 19 election and has decided to boycott the second CA and not to participate in any process regarding the second CA which is expected to write a new constitution.

The tough stance of the CPN-Maoist, a breakaway faction of UCPN (Maoist), is likely to affect the major parties' plan to promulgate a new constitution within a year.

Nepal's major political parties - Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) - are considering possible options to bring the CPN- Maoist in the constitution drafting process.

The parties are preparing to form a permanent mechanism of political parties that will oversee the overall constitution drafting process.
